Frankenmuth, MI Photo Gallery

Frankenmuth was settled in 1845 by 15 Germans, led by the Reverand August Craemer, a Lutheran minister. The small band of settlers came to the area from Neuendettelsau, Germany, for the expressed purpose of evangelizing to the Native Americans.

Owing to this history, it is currently known as "Michigan's Little Bavaria".

Frankenmuth, located in central Michigan, is a favourite local attraction for us. It is a very pretty and well groomed small town. It's main fame to claim is tourism. People are drawn to Frankenmuth to enjoy the Bavarian style architecture and hospitality. We enjoy this but our favourite attraction is Bronner's Christmas Wonderland.

The Bronner's story began in 1951 and after many iterations has grown to become the world's largest Christmas store. After a few expansions, it is now the size of 5.5 football fields.

But there is much more to Frankenmuth than the Christmas store. It's many fine restaurants and touist attractions make it a pleasure to visit.
