Quito-Ecuador Photo Gallery

In March, 2007, we travelled to the Galapagos Islands. In order to get there, it was necessary to fly via Ecuador. Therefore, we decided to take advantage of this and tour the area in and around Quito.

Before we left, our travel agent asked us if we wanted to "play it safe" and stay in a North American style hotel or have a real South American experience. The choice was obvious - "When in Rome....." Therefore, we stayed at Cafe Cultura. This turned out to be a wonderful experience! Click on the Cafe Cultura link or the first few thumbnails below to have a look at this delightful little hotel.

Quito is the capital of Ecuador and the home of the Presidential Palace. It is a very old city with a lot of history.
