Foster Bay Villa
When we first arrived on Cayman, we needed to quickly find a place to live.

Our first home was a condominium resort called Harbour Heights. It is located on the beautiful Seven Mile Beach and is normally rented by the week to tourists visiting the island. As such, it was very expensive. Therefore, we rented it as a temporary location while we looked for more reasonable accommodation. The picture to the right is a view of Harbour Heights from the water.

Because everything on Cayman is so expensive, it was very difficult to find accommodations that were both acceptable and reasonably priced. Ultimately, we found a new condominium complex called Foster Bay Villas. (picture at the top of the page). See the next two pictures for more views of this condo. It was located on a side road about one quarter mile from Seven Mile Beach. It was new, fresh and reasonably well furnished. We rationalized that it would be easy to walk to Seven Mile Beach for our late afternoon coctkail or lounging on our day off. Ultimately, this just didn't work. Maybe we were just too lazy!

Although we were comfortable at Foster Bay Villa, we longed for the convenience of a waterfront location. See Silver Sands for the next accommodation chapter.
